Activision cancels release of Ghostbusters

As of sometime late July, Activision has decided to cancel the release of the Ghostbusters title through the Activation brand. This game is being developed by Vivdendi Games and has been in the works for at least a year or longer. For Activision to cancel it this close to the launch date means Activision must be having some serious internal or monetary issues. That doesn't mean Ghostbusters along with several other Vivendi Games (Chronicles of Riddick and others) won't be released, they just won't be released through Activision.

This likely means that, for the moment, Ghostbusters won't be arriving this fall's scheduled date. However, another publisher could pick up these titles and release them, but this will likely push these titles out until sometime early 2009.

Games for this holiday season - reserve yours now

Fall 2008 Game Releases

With the holiday season not far off, I thought I would give a heads up on a few HOT titles that the avid gamer might like to consider this season. And, by consider, I mean you might want to reserve it so you don't take the chance losing out on finding the game.

Ghostbusters - 10/21/2008 - 360, PS3, PC, Wii -- Cancelled
Gears Of War 2 - 11/7/2008 - 360 only

Of course, no one can guarantee the quality of any of these games. But, these are definitely games I want to play and review coming up. So, stay tuned for more details about these games. Many of these titles are likely to be hot this season, so reserve now to ensure that you get your copy.
